▶ Liberty Pen: Video: Mike Wallace Show: Liberty vs Socialism
Ayn Rand is clearly no one’s Socialist or Collectivist and neither am I except maybe compared with a Libertarian or Objectivist. But I do believe in the notion of country and government, I’m not an Anarchist but to have a government. In the federal system that we have that has federal, state and local governments there not to run our lives for us. But there to do the things that we need it to do that we can’t do for ourselves as well or at all. That shouldn’t be left completely for the private sector especially the for-profit sector because these. A lot of these things are simply not profitable but also because people shouldn’t be denied. Things that they must have in order to survive like defense and law enforcement to use as examples. Because they do not have the money for them. As well as the fact to have a functioning country and society you need someone there that are held accountable to the. People but who set and enforce the rules for how people interact with each other. Again not regulate what we do with our own lives. But regulate how we coexist with each other so predators aren’t allowed and even prevented from harming innocent people.
